Quantity: Twenty-four(24)each of the remanufacture of up to 24 AH-64A Model Apache to 24 AH-64D Model Apache Longbow aircraft to support the Department of the Army (DA) approved program for AH-64D production with delivery to begin in 2010. The proposed acquisition is limited to McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Company, doing business as MDHC, Commercial and Government Entity, CAGE Code 8V613, 5000 East McDowell Road, Mesa, AZ 85205 because this item must be acquired from a manufacturing source(s) specified on a source control or selected item drawing as defined by the current version o f DoD-STD-100. All offerors must meet prequalification requirements in order to be eligible for award. Firms that recognize and can produce the required item described above are encouraged to identify themselves. Firms are encouraged to seek source approva l in order to compete for future solicitations by accessing the website www.redstone.army/cmo/ and looking under Qualificati on Procedures for Aviation Requirements. MDHC is the only responsible source capable of providing the supplies or services necessar y for the manufacture of AH-64D Apache Longbow Aircraft. The closing date is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the date of release for solicitation; however, the solicitation will not close prior to the date stated above. Foreign Firms a re reminded that all requests for solicitation must be processed through their respective embassies.
