- Description
- Contracting Office Address RDECOM Acquisition Center - Edgewood, ATTN: AMSRD-ACC-E (Schoerner), 5183 Blackhawk Road, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21010-5424 DESCRIPTION: The Joint Project Manager, Nuclear Biological Chemical (JPM NBC) Contamination Avoidance is seeking commercial product sources for full rate production of the Chemical Vapor Sampling System (CVSS) for the Stryker Nuclear Biological Chemical Re connaissance Vehicle (NBCRV) for up to 389 systems for Government fiscal years 2010 through 2014. BACKGROUND: The currently approved and fielded Chemical Vapor Sampler System (CVSS) provides a means to collect and store Chemical Warfare Agent (CWA) and Toxic Industrial Chemical (TIC) vapor samples on the Stryker Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical Recon naissance Vehicle (NBCRV) for confirmatory analysis at a later date. The samples are collected and stored in 400 ml silicone-lined stainless steel canisters. The canisters are initially under a vacuum. When a sample is taken, a micro pump pulls outside ambient air into the CVSS sample path. A solenoid valve then opens allowing the vacuum in the canister to pull a sample from the sample path into the canister. The following documents shall be provided upon request: The CVSS Performance Specification (P- Spec) and CVSS Interface Control Document (ICD). All requests for the P-Spec and ICD shall be requested no later than 21 December 2007, 12:00pm ET. Qualified, interested firms should submit their commercial product literature/brochures, not exceeding thirty (30) pages, describing their commercial products: Technical capabilities, including chemical warfare agent (CWA) and environmental ruggedness tests to prove efficacy, digital data interface, item design details and operational characteristics. Production capacity, projected time to manufacture and deliver a complete and functional Chemical Vapor Sampler System, monthly sustainable production rate, minimum and maximum production rates, and location of manufacturing facilities. Price, (Firm Fixed Price per unit). Any warranty information offered. Please also provide an Executive Summary to include commercial product technical qualifications, company name, address, Contractor and Government Entity (CAGE) code, business size (large or small), price, a free sample (if available) and a technical point of contact name, phone number with email address. This is a Sources Sought notice and is for planning purposes only. This is NOT a solicitation and DOES NOT Obligate the Government to issue a solicitation. All interested parties shall submit the requested information no later than 11 January 2008. The RD ECOM Acquisition Center Point of Contact for submitting requested information electronically or by U.S. mail at the aforementioned mailing address is Mr. Jeff Schoerner. Mr. Schoerner can be reached telephonically at 410-436-1331 and via email at Jeff.Scho erner@us.army.mil.
