Description
Request for Information, Sources Sought M67854-08-I-1053 This Request for Information (RFI) is the initiation of market research under Part 10 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and is not a Request for Proposals (RFP). The Government does not intend to pay for any information furnished pursuant to this RFI. NARRATIVE The purpose of this RFI is to validate market research regarding the Performance Specification and communicate with industry about several logistical issues. A Performance Specification matrix is provided for the discussion during the individual company sessions to assess the industry capability to meet the parameters. PM ONS desires input from industry on recommended courses of action for transitioning from contractor logistics support to a full organic capability. Marine Corps logistics experts will be on hand to facilitate this discussion. PM ONS would like feedback on the following: ? The road ahead and procedures it would take for the Marine Corps to test, repair, and organically maintain the Medium Range Thermal Bi-ocular (MRTB). ? How vendors assess the reliability of their system, for PM ONS to better plan a spare parts model, selection of maintenance or support concept and other logistics factors. ? Understand the issues associated with standardizing the video/data pin-out provided in the Performance Specification. ? Schedule impact since the Government will require that the MRTB have no less than a 25-micron 640 x 480 pixel detector.
