Description

The Veterans Administration is seeking to award a single contract for and on-site Indoor Air Quality survey at the Marion VA Medical Center (VAMC) located at 2401 West Main Street, Marion, IL 62959. The Contractor shall be responsible for taking 100 samples in Modular Building One, Modular Building Two and Building 13 at the Marion VAMC. These samples must be in accordance with the most current ACGIH protocol and will be no more than 20% above the ceiling with the other 80% requiring boring through a sheetrock wall, and temporarily plugging the hole until the VA can make permanent repairs. The Contractor shall send all samples to an AIHA certified lab and provide recommendations for all buildings based upon samples taken by the contractor. All work must be performed on-site, not just supervised, by an individual currently holding the Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation. The Contractor shall plan, schedule, coordinate, and ensure effective and economical completion of all work and services specified in this contract. The schedule shall be coordinated through the VAMC Safety Manager. This work is set aside for a Small Business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 541620. The Standard Industrial Classification is 8741. The small business size standard is $6.5 Million. The solicitation will be publicized on December 4, 2007.
