Description
The General Services Administration, Public Buildings Service (GSA/PBS), Contracting and Facilities Management Division (PGE) on behalf of the Office of the Chief Architect (PM), intends to issue a sole source award to the Construction Industry Institute (University of Texas at Austin) for annual CII membership. CII is a consortium of leading owners, engineering and construction contractors, and suppliers who have a singular mission to improve the cost effectiveness of the capital facility project life cycle. CII membership provides opportunities for research, collaboration, and networking. Membership will be procured under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price Price Order using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This notice of intent is not considered a Request for Proposal (RFP). No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. Additionally, any responses to this notice must show clear, compelling and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the government. All information received by the POC listed below by 3:30pm, EST. Friday, November 30, 2007 will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
