Description

The following information is provided regarding a proposed sole source purchase from the Regional Contracting Office-Alaska, Fort Wainwright. It is the Government's intent to purchase 133 each of Universal Small Engine Winterization Kit, Active Gea r of Canada Limited PN: 2551-1027, to be used on Government owned Water Buffaloes; or equal to the following salient characteristics or specifications: One complete heater kit must fit all of the following generator models due to the fluctuating list of i ncoming generators - MEP 802A, MEP 803A, PU 801, and PU 802 (5-15 KW at a minimum); must be EMI compliant in accordance with MIL STD 461e; must be compliant with MIL STD 810; must be deliverable within 10 weeks from time of order; must use less than 3 amps of 24 volt power; must use JP8 as sole source of fuel and must consume less than .25 gallons per hour; must use existing battery and fuel system; must be capable of operating at temperatures of -50 degrees Fahrenheit; must be capable of operating while tr ailer or generator are in motion; must be able to provide real time self-diagnostics which can be read from an external device. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contrac t based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received would normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A solicitation will no t be issued. Note 22 applies.
