Description
THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION PACKAGE AVAILABLE. The Naval Air Warfare Center Lakehurst is requesting information pertaining to the replacement for the AN/AWM-102 Firing Circuit Test Set. For the purposes of this RFI, this new unit shall be called the Firing Circuit Tester. The Government is requesting information on the availability of a light weight, reliable, GO, No-GO Test Set for use at flight-line and carrier deck. The Firing Circuit Tester shall test the firing circuit and shall detect stray voltages at firing pin. It shall have dimensions equal to or less than the existing Tester (6.54 in. L, 5.130 in. W, 1.950 in. D) and weight equal to or less than 5 pounds. Firing Circuit Tester shall utilize rechargeable batteries for its power and testing. As required for any typical Navy support equipment, the Firing Circuit Tester shall be highly reliable, maintainable, and supportable. As an O-level unit, it shall be capable of meeting shock, vibration, environmental, and EMI criteria specified by Naval Air Warfare Center Lakehurst. The Firing Circuit Tester shall have a Built In Test that will check if test set is operating within performance specification. Firing Circuit Test Set shall have circuit protection from unwanted aircraft voltage and shall be accessible by users for reset at flight line and decks. Test set shall adapt to existing AN/AWM-102 adapters.
