Description

This action is a notice of the U.S. Army CECOMs intent to include an option to Firm Fixed Price/Time and Materials Contract Number DAAB07-98-C-F505 to acquire AN/GRC-245(V) High Capacity Line Of Sight (HCLOS) Radios for up to 720 AN/TRC-190D(V)1 Kit s and up to 170 AN/TRC-190D(V)3 Kits in FY08. The Government intends to enter into a sole source agreement with Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC), on behalf of Ultra Electronics Tactical Communication Systems (Ultra TCS), 5990 C?te de Liesse, Montreal , Quebec, Canada, H4T 1V7 under the Authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302- 1, Only One Responsible Source for the following requirement and reasons: Ultra TCS is the only source that produces the AN/TRC-190D(V)1 Kits and AN/TRC-190D(V)3 Kits. Th e Government does not possess specifications or detailed drawings for these kits. Ultra TCS possesses the unique technical expertise and knowledge of the kits designs, and is the only source with an operational production line for these items. A solicita tion will not be issued and this notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotations. A determination by the Government not to compete this action is based upon previously published market survey results and is solely within the discr etion of the Government. See Numbered Note 22.
