Description
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City (NSWCPC) intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Alion Science and Technology Corporation, 1100 New Jersey Avenue SE, STE 200, Washington, DC 20003, for the procurement of providing shock qualification of the Navigation, Command and Control (NAVC2) system. Alion is the only company with the unique expertise to provide technical direction for obtaining shock qualification in accordance with MIL-S-901D. This effort is a direct follow-on to support acquired under N61331-07-P-0313 and N61331-07-P-3534. Use of another company may introduce new or change existing parameters that were originally used in the first series of shock testing. The changes may be detrimental to the NAVC2 system. The Request for Quote (RFQ) number is N61331-08-T-3503. Simplified Acquisition Procedures is the method of award for this procurement. The NAICS code is 541690 with size standard of $6,500,000. The order shall be firm fixed priced with a period of performance from the issuance of award through 30 March 2008. Delivery terms for this requirement are FOB Destination. The NSWCPC has implemented Electronic Commerce (EC) in the acquisition area; therefore, this synopsis and any applicable amendments will be available on the World Wide Web at http://www.fedbizopps.gov or http://nswcpc.navsea.nay.mil/contracts/ztable/open_actions.html. Hard copies will not be provided. Vendors should regularly access the NSWCPC web site to ensure that they have downloaded all amendments. Registration in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) is required for consideration of award. Vendors may obtain information on registration in the CCR by calling 1-888-227-2423 or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. Please note that defense payment office may not make payment unless the contractor is established to receive electronic funds transfer (EFT). EFT payments are based on the contractor?s EFT information contained in the CCR database.
