- This is not a solicitation announcement and this notice does not constitute any commitment by the Government. THE PURPOSE OF THIS MARKET RESEARCH AND SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE IS TO GAIN KNOWLEDGE OF POTENTIAL QUALIFIED 8(A), HUBZONE AND SERVICE DISABLE D VETERAN OWNED FIRMS. ONLY THESE TYPE SMALL BUSINESS FIRMS SHALL RESPOND TO THIS NOTICE. Responses to this Sources Sought Synopsis will be used by the government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile Distric t, anticipates a future procurement related to the FY-09 Rotary Wing Center, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. Construct Administration Facility and Add/Alt Fire Station. The Scope of Work will consist of Constructing a 37,124 SF Administration Facility to house support personnel. Facility shall be constructed adjacent to Building 4500 located on Martin Road. The facility shall be constructed with exterior insulated metal panels on steel frame. The facility will include office space, conference area, vault, se cure teleconference room, and mission operations control center (MOCC). The MOCC will require raised flooring and UPS. The existing parking located north of Building 4500 will be demolished and the existing parking lot located west of the site will be ex panded to accommodate additional personnel. The facility will require a back up generator, exterior lighting, storm drainage, HVAC, exterior communications, and anti-terrorism measures such as perimeter fencing, berms, and bollards. The design for the fa cility must meet the Energy Policy Act (EPACT 2005) and Sustainable Design and Development (SDD). Sources are being sought for firms with a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code of 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Constru ction. The Government contemplates awarding a firm fixed price contract from a future solicitation. Interested firms should submit document describing relevant experience in the following format: name(s) of client(s); location of job site; client point o f contact and telephone number; type of project, estimated value of project, and the date projects were performed. This documentation should be limited to descriptions of past and current contracts of the kind of work and facility type identified above an d should be limited to eight (8) pages. It is not necessary to submit additional company information, resumes, sales material or brochures.
