The Academy requests each Building be Quoted separately and a package. Furnish all labor, equipment, and tools to cover the on-site requirements to accomplish the work as specified herein. Furnish and install single-package pad mounted units on concrete pads on the inner side of each wing of the buildings and one behind each building for the center sections. (See attached drawing for equipment locations.) Two 12 1/2 TON cooling units on each wing, and one 10 TON cooling unit for the center section. All units will be gas-fired heating units. All units will be furnished with factory economizers with enthalpy controls and power exhaust. Thus, 5 units per building on each of the two buildings are required. Each wing unit will be mounted on a concrete pad and have a 6 ft. high chain link fence installed around it with a lockable gate. The center units will be set on the existing chiller pads. Fabricate and install supply and return ductwork system above the ceiling to provide proper heating and cooling for each classroom/office. The contractor must have approved shop drawings prior to fabrication. Duct work interior to the building is to be insulated with 2 in. exterior wrap. Duct work exterior to the building is to be internally insulated with 1-1/2 in. closed cell rubber sheets and shall have all joints and seams sealed weather-tight. New supply (with opposed blade dampers) and return grills/registers are to be installed in each classroom/office. Fire dampers (blades out of air stream) will be provided as required, and meet all NFPA standards. Provide access panels as required to each damper location (example through ceiling) and access panels on duct for inspection and maintenance. Provide and install temperature sensors in the return air and programmable thermostats in the existing mechanical rooms to control the new units. The thermostats shall be equipped at a minimum with timed/set back capability. Gas piping and electrical power conduits will be run underground from the existing mechanical rooms to each outdoor unit. Remove (DEMO) the old chiller, boiler, fan coils, piping and related electrical conduit. Dispose of all removed materials in an approved landfill site. After equipment startup, the testing and balancing of the system, (Which will preclude any "Substantial Completion"), the center maintenance personnel are to be trained in the operation and maintenance of the systems. This training should include preventative maintenance training. Three copies of an electronic recording of this training are to be provided to the Center. Contractor will submit shop drawings, equipment and ductwork layouts, specifications and calculations of all new work to the Center and the National Office for approval prior to commencing any installation activity. Contractor must include with quote certification that he/she will conform to the latest Davis Bacon Rate (www.access.gpo.gov/davisbacon) decisions for the area. EARLE C.
