Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY TO PREQUALIFY VENDORS. THERE IS NOT A SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. THIS IS NOT A FORMAL REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP). NOTE: THIS SOURCES SOUGHT IS RESTRICTED TO MANUFACTURERS WITH OFFCES LOCATED IN OR SERVICING THE LOCAL COMMUTING AREA OF WASHINGTON, DC. (no more than 50 miles driving distance to the United States Capitol Building). The United States Senate Office of the Sergeant at Arms (SAA) is pre-qualifying manufacturers of modular furniture systems. The SAA plans to replace the modular furniture, currently in SAA space during the next twenty-four months. The current furniture is already or will soon be obsolete. Further, the current furniture often requires extensive relocation of electrical and data access when a module is reconfigured. Since the modular furniture is and will be dispersed over various locations within U.S. Senate buildings, the SAA requires modules which are configurable to accommodate the unique needs or idiosyncrasies of the users of the modules. There are approximately 460 workstation modules. The SAA will contract directly with furniture manufacturers located in or servicing the local Washington DC commuting area in order to have a local contact for on-site furniture issues that may arise during delivery, installation, and maintenance. The SAA invites all qualified manufactures of modular furniture systems with offices located within the Washington DC Local Commuting Area to respond to this Sources Sought Notice.
