Description

Design services for removal of induction units, installation of new HVAC, and renovation of the 5AS - HR Area at the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center in Charleston, SC. The required services shall include space programming, schematic design concepts (15%), design development drawings (60%), preparation of final construction documents including cost estimate for the 100% level, selected construction period service, post construction services, and other typical tasks related to these services for Project 534-08-102. The proposed construction is to remove induction units, install of new HVAC, and renovate the 5AS - HR Area; this is the 4th phase of a program whose primary intent is to remove the failing induction unit system from the hospital and replace it with a new HVAC system. The layout and finishes of the HR Area will be upgraded at the same time. Design will involve upgrading HVAC, plumbing, telecom, cable, electrical power (both normal and emergency), lighting, data, etc. Approximately 3,000 SF of space will be renovated. The estimated construction is between $500,000.00 - $1,000,000.00. Consideration is limited to concerns located within a 200 mile radius of VAMC, Charleston, SC. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 541310. This notice is issued subject to the availability of funds and is not a request for proposal.
