Description
The Department of Military Strategy, Planning, and Operations, United States Army War College (USAWC) has a requirement for an Adjunct Professor for Advanced Strategic Art Program (ASAP) and the Basic Strategic Art Program (BSAP), which are special p rograms of the U.S. Army War College (USAWC). The ASAP is a unique course with a simple, yet very ambitious mission: to develop the finest theater strategists in the world. The course provides up to 14 students (Lieutenant Colonel or Colonel) with a sol id intellectual foundation by using history, theory, and strategy to develop a rich professional perspective on national security issues and their effect on joint theater operations. The program is designed for total immersion into joint war fighting and the nexus between policy, national and theater strategy. The BSAP is an intensive 14-week program, conducted at the graduate level, by designated faculty members of the USAWC supplemented with external subject matter experts. The course is specifically d esigned to educate newly designated FA 59s (Strategic Plans and Policy  at the major or junior lieutenant colonel level) in the fundamentals of national strategy. It also introduces the officers to the unique skills, knowledge, and attributes needed as a foundation for their progressive development as Army strategists. The period of performance is slated to begin mid November 2007 and the contract would include a base year period of performance and option year(s) (up to four) if included in the contract ors offer. Offerors must be currently registered in the Central Contractors Registry (CCR) to be eligible for award. Further information regarding registration can be obtained at website http://www.ccr.gov. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 611710. The size standard is $6.5M.
