- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, is soliciting offers under Request for Quotation No. W912BU-08-T-0001 to move the MB2 Mooring Barge from Fort Mifflin, Philadelphia, PA to a location defined by GPS readings in the vicinity of the Killcohook Containment Facility, Lehigh Avenue, Salem County, NJ (Between the Bulkhead Bar Range and Deepwater Point Range). After MB2 is spudded down in proper location and position the two (2) forty foot sections of rubber dredge pipe shall be conn ected from the discharge end of the MB2 and to the end of the submerged steel dredge pipeline after it has been located and lifted out of the water by the crane barge. The Contractor must provide all necessary equipment, materials, tools, services and lab or to complete the work. Equipment is to include crane barge with a minimum of 110 foot boom with a lifting capacity of 50 tons, work barge, tugs, welding machine, pneumatic tools and hand tools. Work is to begin during the week of 22 October 2007 and th e MB2 with rubber pipeline is required to be in place at the above noted location and be complete and fully operational No Later Than 31 October 2007. Return of the MB2 to Fort Mifflin is to take place during the week of 17 December and be completed by 21 December 2007. This action will be procured in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. RFQ No. W912BU-08-T-0001 is available now. Solicitation documents, plans, and specifications will only be available via the Federal Technical Data Solution (FedTeDs) system webpage at https://www.fedteds.gov. Interested parties must register as a Vendor with FedTeDs before accessing the system. In order to register as a Vendor in FedTeDs, offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) system (http://www.ccr.gov). Interested offerors can access the data for this solicitation through the hyperlink established in the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) system (http://www.fedbizopps.gov) announcement, which will redirect to the solicitation-specific data in FedTeDs. Registration for updates to plans and specifications should be made on the FedBizOpps webpage for this solicitation. The FedTeDs system does not allow for offerors to perform a search for solicitatio n data. All searches can be performed through the FedBizOpps system. Offers will be due on 17 October 2007 at 11:15 a.m. ET and can be faxed to 215-656-6798, ATTN: Linda M. Dobbs. Offerors are responsible for printing paper copies of the solicitation. Hard copies will not be available. This procurement is Unrestricted. The NAICS Code is 483211 with a size standard of 500 employees. No other notification to firms for this project will be made. All contractors must be registered in the DODs Central Co ntract Register (CCR) before award as required by DFARS 204.7300.
