Description
The Joint Program Manager for Nuclear Biological and Chemical Contamination Avoidance (JPM NBC CA) will host an Industry Day briefing relating to the Joint NBC Reconnaissance System Increment 2 (JNBCRS 2) effort on Wednesday, 7 November 2007, from 9: 00 AM to approximately 2:00 PM, to provide interested parties with additional information and solicit feedback. The briefing will be held at the Conference Center, Building 4810 in the Edgewood Area of Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. All firms intereste d in attending the briefing should provide the company name and attendee names to the contract specialist, Ms. Rita Belfiori, via email Rita.Belfiori@us.army.mil or faxcom 410-306-3789. This information should be provided no later than 2 November 2007. A limit of four (4) individuals per company may attend. An agenda will be available on the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) Interactive Business Opportunities Page (IBOP) website prior to Industry Day. All interested parties may access the IBOP website at the following web address: https://abop.monmouth.a rmy.mil/ . You can register for a user ID and password on the IBOP website. Please utilize (732) 532-5246 or (732) 532-1840 numbers for IBOP Help Desk for assistance. Under the Army Pre-Award category ((LOGIN & VIEW BY CONTRACTING ACTIVITY:)) Select ((R DECOM Acquisition Center)). The concept of JNBCRS2 is an integration of existing CBRN detection, protection and sampling equipment into a modular, transportable container designed to be carried on various platforms. A draft Statement of Work (SOW) and a draft Performance Specification will be available prior to Industry Day at the above listed website. Interested companies are invited to submit comments and questions regarding the draft documents via email to Ms. Bel fiori not later than 31 October 2007. The government will consider all comments and questions submitted and provide answers at Industry Day, as time permits. Industry comments and feedback will be analyzed, considered and possibly used in the development of a potential Solicitation and/or Request for Proposal (RFP). A question and answer forum will be conducted after the government briefings. One-on-one discussions between government and industry representatives will not be conducted. For those individu als unable to attend the briefing, the presented material will also be available on the above listed website. A Day Pass will be required to access the Edgewood Area of Aberdeen Proving Ground. All individuals attending the JNBCRS 2 Industry Day must process through the Visitor Center at the Route 24 Gate in the Edgewood Area. To obtain a Day Pass, an individual must present a valid Driver's License or photo ID (i.e. passport) and a vehicle registration document. Individuals without these documents will be denied entrance to the Edgewood Area. All vehicles are subject to search by Security Personnel. Cameras a nd tape recorders are not authorized on post. Individuals are highly encouraged to schedule their arrival time accordingly since there is limited parking space at the Visitor Center. Directions To Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md - Edgewood Area may be found at the following address: http://www.ecbc.army.mil/about/mapdir.html Or: FROM BALTIMORE (BWI AIRPORT)/WASHINGTON, DC: Take I-95 North through the Fort McHenry Tunnel. Stay on I-95 to Exit 77A. Turn Right on MD-24 and travel South approx 3 miles directly to the Guard Gate to APG-Edgewood Area. FROM HARRISBURG: Take I-83 south to Route 695, Baltimore Beltway. Go east on 695 to I-95 North. Take I-95 North to Exit 77, Edgewood, then follow route MD-24 South directly to the Guard Gate to APG-Edgewood Area (about 3 miles). FROM PHILADELPHIA, PA: Take I-95 South to Exit 77, Edgewood, then follow route MD-24 South, directly to the Guard Gate at APG-Edgewood Area (about 3 miles). Industry day will be conducted at the Conference Center (Bldg E 4810) - Stay on Hoadley Road and proceed about 1 mile to the Conference Center on the right. The parking lot is on the right before the four-way stop sign.
