- Description
- The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System (VAPHS) has a requirement for Mammography Services and other diagnostic studies for beneficiaries of the VAPHS. VAPHS intends to issue a full and open competitive unrestricted solicitation for Mammography Services. The contract period is expected to a base year with four (4) one-year option periods. The proposed contract will be a firm-fixed priced contract to the offeror whose quote provides the best value to the Government. The contractor shall furnish all services, equipment, and facilities in the perspective geographic location necessary to perform Mammogram Services and other diagnostic studies for patients located in the Pittsburgh, PA area. All perspective contractors submitting proposals will require Digital Equipment to provide services. VAPHS will refer veteran patients to the contractor for all mammograms, screening, or diagnostic, ordered by a physician, nurse practitioner, or physician's assistant. The method of reimbursement for services will be Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes. This service will be a non-personal service contract. All contractor personal performing under this contract shall remain employees or subcontractors of the contractor. This solicitation will be available on the Government's Point of Entry website: http://www.fedbizopps.gov/ on or about October 10, 2007. Any amendments to this solicitation will also be available at the URL address. Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments. Requests for hard copy solicitation must be in writing to the Contracting Officer at the VAPHS and accompanied by a check for $5.00 made out to the Department of Veterans Affairs.
