- Description
- The 1st Contracting Squadron has a requirement for preventive maintenance, repair, and on-site training on a Government-owned Philips OB TraceVue (OBTV) system at Langley AFB, VA. The contractor shall provide preventive maintenance and repair services to include preventive maintenance inspections, unlimited telephone support, emergency on-site troubleshooting, repair and replacement. The contractor shall provide 24/7 availability response to system failures and on-site reporting within 24-hours by a field engineer on failures that cannot be reconciled over the telephone. The contractor shall provide six days of clinical education and two days of bio-medical technician training on the OBTV annually plus two additional days of clinical education when application software is updated. All education and training shall be provided by clinical specialist. The 1st Contracting Squadron intends to procure this requirement on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The 1st Contracting Squadron intends to negotiate a firm fixed-price purchase order with Philips Medical Systems North America Inc., 22100 Bothell Everett Highway, Bothell, WA 98021-8431. The NAICS code for this procurement is 811219. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no solicitation will be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the contracting officer within 4 days from the date of the publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement listed. Responses are due by September 24, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. (local time). A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
