- Amendment 1 to FDA-SOL-071034686 Questions and Answers. The solicitation closing date and time remain unchanged. Q1: What hardware (if any) should be included in quote (i.e. Printers, Computers, Server, RFID readers, network Infrastructure, etc)? A1: Wireless mobile RFID readers Q2: It appears that the software will be used by multiple offices, will they access the application via internet or existing network infrastructure? A:2 It would need to be a web based software accessible via internet browser. Q3: Should quote include database? A3: Absolutely Q4: Would training be required at all location or can training be done remotely? A4: Training can done remotely by telephone and on-line. Q5: Would work stations be made available to contractor and employees? A5: The workstation would be available only to employees. The database and program will be installed by an appointed [sic: government] project manager. Q6: Would post deployment technical support be required on site or can it be done remotely? A6: This could be completed remotely Q7: Would remote access be granted during development? A7: No, security computer access would not allow remote into our system. Q8: Are you asking for the work to start after 90 days of award or to be completed 90 days after award? A8: To start within 90 days of awarding. Q9: Labels: Will there be more than one label design? A9: Yes, we would like to have an option of multiple designs Q10: Software; Will everyone be accessing from the same server? A10: For each 14 locations it will be on one server at that location with multiple users at one time Q11: Software: Are you looking for an ASP model or will you be hosting the data? A11: We will host the data Q12: Concurrent users: Will there be up to 3 simultaneous users at each location? A12: It may be three or more?simultaneously dependent upon location. Q13: RFID: How many fixed readers do you want at each location? A13: One reader at each location with ability to add additional readers as needs arise Q14: RFID; Are you looking for portable readers? A14: Yes, mobile wireless Q15: Installation: Who is responsible for installation? If the vendor is can it be done remotely? A15: Installation will be done by FDA. Q16: Training: How many locations will training be held. Can it be done remotely? A16: Training can be conducted on-line or telephone. Telephone assistance and vendor help desk should be available for technical support.
