- Description
- NAICS Code: 336212 Amendment #2 Technical Questions and Answers Question 1: Please clarify specification (2) which states; "The Floor shall be flush (i.e., no wheel mounts in the shelter)."? Is this saying that there can be no protrusions into the trailer interior from an enclosed wheel well? It appears that this would contradict the trailer side view sketch. Answer: The sketch of the trailer side view was not intended to provide details, regarding the wheel mounts. The wheels shall be mounted so that the 8' overall trailer width is not exceeded, while still ensuring that the wheel well does not penetrate into the trailer's interior. Question 2: Where is the Storage Compartment Access Door to be located, per specification (31)? Answer: The location of the storage compartment shall be provided after award, but it is envisioned to be placed at the roadside corner near the front of the trailer. The access door's construction shall be a heavy-duty, vented, pre-framed swing-up door, with an integrated keyed flush lock. Question 3: Please clarify the dimensions and placement of the Heavy Duty Vertical Posts, per specification (16)? Answer: This 2 ?" dimension is the width of the vertical posts described in Specification (15). Question 4: Are there any specs for the Jib Crane (ie: Crane weight, height, length)? The most important question is how much weight the crane is rated to lift and at what length out from the base, as this would have a direct impact on how much support will be required in the roof/sidewalls, per Specifications (17, 18). Answer: The crane has a weight of 140 lbs and user-adjustable boom lengths of 43, 55, and 66 inches. The boom height can be adjusted from 0 to 84 inches and the crane has extended and retracted capacities of 800 and 1500 lbs, respectively. It is expected that use of the crane will not involve lifting objects greater than 200 lbs with the boom in its fully extended position and positioned at a 43 degree angle. Additional technical information regarding the crane can be found at: http://www.globalindustrial.com/gcs/product/productInfo.web?infoParam.mode=1&infoParam.itemKey=30109466 Note: Quotations are due September 19, 2007 NLT 12:00PM (EDT) to Scott Fogle at fogle.scott@epa.gov.
