Description

The Louis Stokes Cleveland Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center (LSVAMC) intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Schwarze Industries, Inc. This proposed contract action is for a GMC lawn sweeper model S333-SE for which the Government intends to accomplish using commercial item procedures in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 12 and in accordance with FAR 13.106, of other than full and open competition. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. The VA believes that Schwarze Industries is the only company that can provide the above item. Any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 10 days (9/23/2007) from the date of publication of this announcement. Supporting evidence must be in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information may be sent to the Contracting Officer by emailing Dara.Greene@va.gov on or before the date indicated herein. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government to compete the proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the VA Medical Center will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Schwarze Industries, Inc.
