Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Net? Q GMBH, Rotbuchenstr. 1, Muchen, BA, DEU under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, ?Only one Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements,? to purchase maintenance for the APPN-EE Firewall License. The APPN-EE License is essential to SSA?s network as it monitors, administers and secures access to the mainframe applications from both inside and outside the SSANET environment. As it stands, NET?Q is the only company that can provide maintenance for the APPN-EE License. If SSA does not identify other acceptable sources capable of providing this requirement, the agency shall issue a sole source award of the product and maintenance under FAR par 13, Simplified Acquisitions. This is NOT a Request for Proposal and the Government does not intend to pay for information submitted. Requests for copies of a solicitation will not be honored or acknowledged. Respondents will NOT be notified of the results of the information received. Verbal responses are NOT acceptable and will NOT be considered. Responses to this notice must be submitted by September 20, 2007, by 12 PM EST. Responses may be sent via E-MAIL ONLY to the point of contact listed below. NO PHONE CALLS OR FAXES WILL BE ACCEPTED. No submissions may exceed 5MB.
