Description

The Northern Region Contracting Center, Mission Support Division, Fort Leavenworth, KS intents to award a sole-source purchase order to Bahar Jalali for translation of the book, The Other Side of the Mountain: Majahideen Tactics in the Soviet-Afghan War from English into Dari. This document contains a large quantity of moderate to complex military terminology. The contractor shall provide access to hand written notes from the co-author. Purchase will be made under simplified acquisition procedures und er Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1. Period of performance is one year from date of award with 2 option years. This notice is neither a request for competitive proposals nor a solicitation of offers. A determination by the government not to compete this requirement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All contractors responding must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration for Product Service code: R608 and NAICS code: 541930 at http://www.ccr.dlis.dla.mil/ccr/scripts/index.html.
