- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The reference number is F3Z4537176A013; this solicitation is a request for quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-19 and Defense DCN 20070828. This acquisition will be unrestricted; the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541430. The business size standard is 6.5 Millions. The Federal Supply Class (FSC) is 9905 . The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 3993. This request for quotation consists of the following item: ITEM 0001: a. Rectangle shape, wall mounted, black border, 42-Inch electronic LCD or Plasma flat screen (not LED) digital menu display system (qty 4), complete software, and hardware as well as installation and support services to adequately meet our needs. These LCD/Plasma displays must be resistant to steam, food particles, and simple wear and tear of food service operations. We will require centralized control and connectivity to stand-alone or LAN computer terminal. Software must meet Air Force software approval. b. We require a software and hardware system that can remotely update and store cycle menus, menu items, menu prices, for each specific serving line area to include displaying daily menus for snackline, mainline, and salad bar and permanent menus and prices for beverages and other items that change infrequently. Each menu board must have the capability to display different information. c. The system must have the capability to display lists such as meal period menus and prices. It must also have capability to alternate between menus and promotional ads. d. The system must have the capability to transition from breakfast to lunch, lunch to supper, supper to midnight meal and midnight meal back to breakfast. e. This system must be able to be programmed with ease and store at least 6 months worth of menus. It must have instant programming capabilities?ease to change items quickly. f. The system must also have the capability to display running headers (streamers) of information to advertise vital messages without disrupting the menu display. g. All displays must be networked to display different digital content messaging and menu offerings per display screen. h. We will require continued technical support over the life of the equipment. i. The system must have LAN and stand-alone connectivity. j. The system needs centralized control for multiple individual LCD or Plasma menu displays. k. The LCD or Plasma menu displays must be resistant to steam, food particles, and simple wear and tear of food service operations. l. Request company have experience on LCD and digital menu board. . Freight must be included. Items to be delivered and installed at Travis AFB, CA 94535. The following provisions and/or clauses apply to this acquisition. FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items. An offeror shall complete only paragraph (j) of this provision if the offeror has completed the annual representations and certificates electronically at http://orca.bpn.gov .
