This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE; there is no solicitation available at this time. No response will be provided to requests for a solicitation. THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE IS PUBLISHED FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) seeks potential sources for the development of a Self-Powered Stirring Device capable of creating a homogenous mixture of an additive in a parent fluid of various viscosities and volumes contained within industrial bulk containers (single device for at least 55 gallon drum). The stirring device will be able to fit through a standard bung without venting the parent fluid and create a homogenous mixture within 30 minutes or less. Objective is to develop a single device capable of mixing a wide spectrum of fluids of various viscosities and volumes. Threshold is a suite of devices capable of mixing a wide spectrum of fluids of various viscosities and volumes, with an objective of a single device for all fluids and viscosities. The device (s) must be small, lightweight, easy to use with little training, and self-powered. Performer must provide a working prototype capable of being tested and evaluated in an operational setting within 18-24 months.
