Description
This is a Sources Sought notice to assist The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) in completing market research for a research and development procurement for the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Disea ses (USAMRIID). USAMRAA seeks qualified vendors who currently have the capability to provide services for collecting and analyzing environmental and veterinary commensal organisms that may serve as reservoirs for antibioti resistance in non-pathogenic bacteria. The vendo r shall have experience with providing research and development services in support of the Homeland Security International Surveillance of Reservoirs of Antibiotic Resistance (ROAR); a pilot program for a Global Surveillance System in selected countries. The capability statement at a minimum shall address the following: 1. Detailed narrative describing the companys current capabilities regarding collecting and analyzing environmental and veterinary commensal organisms. In this narrative indicate if your company is a global organization that has laboratory network with ch apters in other different countries which specializes in investigating antibiotic resistance patterns worldwide. The vendor should have global laboratory network capability in particular regions of interest include (Pakistan, Republic of Georgia, Philipp ines, Uganda and India). 2. Socioeconomic status of the company as it relates to NAICS 541710, for which the size standard is 500 employees. 3. List of contracts/orders completed with the past three (3) years for collecting and analyzing environmental and veterinary commensal organisms services provided to a federal agency subject to the FAR, to include the federal agency name, address, point of contact familiar with the contract, total dollar amount for the contract, contract type (e.g., firm-fixed-price, cost plus fixed fee, labor-hour, etc.) and descriptio of the services provided; 4. Indication of whether the company currently has a GSA Schedule contract under which they could provide collection and analyzing services; 5. Description of the companys available resources, to include their experience and related skills that could be made available to performa the collectiona dn and analzing services All responses to this notice shall be submitted by email only to Sharon.r.smith@amedd.army.mil no later than September 4, 2007.
