Description

Solicitation 8007-32 provides helicopter flight services, which are fully contractor operated and maintained, in support of the National Park Service. The helicopters will based at the South Rim Helibase and support Grand Canyon National Park's search and rescue, maintenance and fire suppression programs. The contract requires two helicopters and one backup helicopter, one light twin quiet technology turbine engine helicopter (MD-900 or equal), one light single engine helicopter (EC-130, B-407 or equal) and one light single engine backup helicopter. The Contractor shall possess a current Federal Aviation Administration, Air Carrier or Operating Certificate and be certified under 14 CFR, Part 133 Rotorcraft External Load Operations and Part 137, Agricultural Aircraft Operations. The contract period for the light twin helicopter will be January 15, 2008 through January 14, 2009 (365 calendar days). The contract period for the light helicopter will be May 1, 2008 through July 30, 2008 (90 calendar days). The backup helicopter shall be available 365 days per year. The contract period will be one year from date of award with a government unilateral option for four additional years. The anticipated issue date of the solicitation is September 15, 2007.
