Description
This action, modified on July 10, 2007 is modified as follows: Solicitation Number W912BU-07-B-0014 has a bid opening date of Thursday, August 30, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. (bid opening date was changed from August 28 to August 30, 2007)-- See below for or iginal synopsis information. This project consists of improvements to the existing Fish Ladder at Fairmount Dam, Schuylkill River, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Work to be performed under the Base Bid includes, but is not limited to the following: Installation, maintenance, and disman tlement of cofferdams and dewatering systems to complete the work; Demolition of various items, such as concrete, grates, ladders, fencing, railings, and exit gate structure; Rock and common excavation, backfilling and filling; Construction and reconstruct ion of various concrete items including walls, baffles and non-overflow piers. Also included is the construction of auger cast piles and the installation of rock anchors to support the new exit channel walls; Repairs to the concrete of the existing fish la dder; Removal of an existing, asbestos-containing (transite) attraction water pipe; Installation of new underground attraction water pipe with a diffuser system and gate valve; Installation of new entrance and exit gates; Placement of riprap; Installation of various items, including, but not limited to, new jib cranes, new ladders, floating trash boom, and new grates; Upgrade of control building including installation of a new steel door, an underwater window, a new heater, a new sump pump, new backflow pre venter, lights, electrical, and a floor drain. There will be six (6) options: (1) Installation of new perimeter fencing; (2) Installation of new railing and gates around the existing fish ladder and new exit channel wall; (3) Construction of a concrete ra mp and retaining wall, with associated railing and gate; (4) Construction of an outdoor classroom requiring excavation, grading, placement of brick and concrete walkways and installation of aluminum benches; (5) Construction of a brick landing and walkway and (6) Installation of landscaping. Solicitation Number W912BU-07-B-0014 will be issued on or about 27 July 2007 with a bid opening date of 28 August at 1:00 P.M. The NAICS Code is 237990 with a size standard of $31 million. The estimated range of the project is $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00 and bonding is required. The contract duration will be 300 calendar days. Solicitation documents, plans and specifications will only be available via the Federal Technical Data Solution (FedTeDS) homepage located at https://www.fedteds.gov. Registration for plans and specifications should be made via FedTeDS Internet homepage and hard copies will not be available. No written or fax requests will be accepted. All prospective contractors and their subcontractors and suppliers must be registered in FedTeDS before they will be permitted to download solicitation documents/information. FedTeDS registration requires the following information: CCR Marketing Partner Identification Number (MPIN), DUNS Number or CAGE Cod e, Telephone Number and E-mail Address. Registration instructions can be found on the FedTeDS website at https://fedteds.gov by clicking on the Register with FedTeDS hyperlink. It is the contractors responsibility to monitor FedTeDS for any amendments. Also, contractors who receive a federal contract of $25,000.00 are required by legislation (FAR 22.1310(b)) to submit an annual VETS-100 Report on your employment of targeted veterans.
