Description
This is NOT a solicitation announcement. The Veterans Integrated Service Network 22 Logistics Office intends to negotiate a sole source Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for Laboratory Automation System and Chemistry Analyzer System with Johnson and Johnson Clinical, 100 Indigo Creek Drive, Rochester, NY 14660. NAICS 621511 applies. The BPA shall be in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements, Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items, FAR Part 13 - Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Description of requirements are but not limited to the following. For Laboratory Automation System: Proprietary software to streamline sample handling and accommodate instruments on both side of the track, minimizing footprints and physically segregating types of work; availability of in-line T-turns and U-turns; ability to accommodate both perpendicular and parallel equipment interface to track; allows point in space sampling for a variety of clinical instruments and analyzers; capable to automatically decap screw-cap containers, as well as push on stoppers or caps; ability to make bar coded aliquots from primary tube allowing one patient sample to service multiple testing; eliminate multiple barcode reading; lower biohazard health risks and accommodate several tube types. For Chemistry Analyzer System: No water system, no pumps, no drains, no water baths to maintain and service; No deionized water required; Lower biohazard health risks, no liquid waste, no biological hazardous waste; calibration intervals of 6 months for all test; use of dry reagents; one year reagent shelf life and direct electrolyte measurements. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government.
