Description
The Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC) is seeking a qualified Architect/Engineering (A&E) Firm with specialty and/or experiences in designing health care facilities to provide A&E services for renovating the Health Information Management Service (HIMS) area to consolidate Pulmonary functions, expand Bronchoscopy Suite and consolidate GI procedure rooms. The spaces are located at the MEDVAMC, 2002 Holcombe Blvd., Houston, Texas 77030. This procurement is 100% set aside for service-disabled veteran-owned business (SDVO) and is restricted to firms located within a 100 mile radius of the MEDVAMC. The NAICS Codes is 541310 with a size standard of $4.5M. The A/E Selection Process will be done in accordance with FAR 36.602-1. All work shall comply with current VA Master Specifications and Standard Details. Work will be in accordance with the provided scope of work, and is to be done in a first class manner as approved by the Facility Manager. Followed is the scope of work for this project: Project will renovate approximately 7,000 SF of existing space (HIMS space) to consolidate Pulmonary functions, expand Bronchoscopy Suite and consolidate GI procedure rooms. The A&E firm shall provide all architectural and engineering services for the development of 2 schematics, design drawings, specifications, and cost estimates to prepare construction contract bid documents and provide of construction period services. Award of a contract is contingent upon the availability of funds. Interested firms shall submit their SF 330 to this office no later than 4:00 PM (CT) August 31, 2007. SF330 may be submitted electronically to Nam-Phuong Nguyen, Contract Specialist: Namphuong.nguyen@va.gov. Please be advised that this email address cannot receive any attachment larger than 5MB. If submitting SF330 via email, offerors will be responsible for reducing the attachment size for the message to go through and the clarity of the submitted document. The completed SF 330 will be evaluated by a MEDVAMC engineering evaluation board which will furnish the Contracting Officer an evaluation report and a list of at least three most highly qualified firms in order of preference, so the Contracting Officer may commence the negotiation with. As of October 1, 2003, all Contractors, both large and small, are required to register in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database before an award. Contractors are responsible for the accuracy of information added to CCR. To register, go to http://www.ccr.gov/ .
