- Description
- The Sacramento District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has an upcoming requirement to provide rapid response for emergency levee repair and flood control work within the Sacramento Districts area of responsibility. In the event of an emergency repair or flood control work, the contractor shall possess the necessary resources to be capable of mobilizing and beginning work within eight (8) hours of notification. The Government intends to award three (3) IDIQ Requirements contracts, one for each identified Region and each with an estimated value not to exceed $200,000,000. Each IDIQ contract will consist of a 1-year Base Period plus three 1-year Option Periods. Work requirements will be awarded via individual Task Orders; each Task Order will re quire bonding. This acquisition will proceed under NAICS Code 237900, with a Small Business Administration Size Standard of $31,000,000.00. This announcement serves only as a market survey/sources sought in order to determine the availability of small bu siness concerns. PROPOSALS ARE NOT BEING REQUESTED AT THIS TIME. Responses are being sought from qualified 8(a), HUBZone and Service Disabled Veteran Owned small business concerns WHOSE BUSINESS PLANS ARE ON FILE WITH THE SACRAMENTO, SAN FRANCISCO, OR FRESNO SBA DISTRICT who possess the technical expertise, quick-response mobilization capability, and bonding capability to execute the work requirements. Interested contractors must submit the following information: (1) Verifiable evidence of experie nce in performing repair work on levees; (2) Evidence of bonding capability (both individual contract and aggregate amounts) provided by the Surety/Bonding Agent; and (3) How you will manage work in accordance with FAR 52.219-14(b)(3), Limitation on Sub-C ontracting: General Construction. The concern will perform at least 20 percent of the cost of the contract, not including the cost of materials.
