Description

Notice of Intent: Pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM), Federal Investigative Services Division (FISD) intends to offer a sole-source purchase order to obtain 2 upgrade kits for NCS Pearson 5000I scanners. These upgrade kits will increase the page production from 9,600 sheets to 15,000 sheets per hour. Additionally, this procurement to include background images for our INV scanner forms 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, and 79A. OPM deems it appropriate to offer a fixed-price purchase order on other than a full and open competitive basis to NCS Pearson. NCS Pearson is the available responsible source and no other source will satisfy the needs of the Agency. The North American Standard Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code for action is 333313, Office Machinery, Manufacturing. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS, AN INVITATION FOR BIDS, OR A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS. FURTHERMORE, IT DOES NOT REPRESENT A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT TO PAY FOR COSTS INCURRED IN PREPARATION AND SUBMISSION OF DATA OR ANY OTHER COASTS INCURRED IN RESPONSE TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. This is not a solicitation for quotations, but rather a notice of OPM's intent to negotiate sole source offer to NCS Pearson. This notice is for information only and may represent the only official notice.
