Description
THIS SYNOPSIS INFORMATION IS BEING RE-SYNOPSISED DUE TO THE CANCELLATION OF W52H09-07-T-0483. SOLICITATION W52H09-07-R-0514 IS BEING ISSUED AS THE SAME REQUIREMENT AS THE PREVIOUSLY ADVERTISED SOLICITATION. The Mobile Machining set is a 2-shelter complex. Both shelters will have an integral bale-arm assembly that will allow the shelter to be loaded and unloaded using a Palletized Loading System (PLS) without the use of a Container Handling Unit (CHU) or Flatr ack. Both shelters will meet ISO 1C standards (8 foot width x 8 foot height x 20 foot length). The first shelter is intended to contain a CNC lathe and a 5-Ton Environmental Control Unit (ECU). The ECU will be provided as GFM to the contractor. The second shelter is intended to contain a CNC 3-axis vertical mill and a MEP-805 generator. The generator will be provided as GFM to the contractor. The set also includes a tool load that the contractor will load into cabinets and shelves that are integrated into t he shelters. The complex includes full electrical, HVAC and pneumatic systems. All other components of the complex will be supplied by the contractor. The shelters will be certified safe to ship by the Coast Guard or an authorized approval entity. It is al so required that a full Pro/Engineer native model of the complex be delivered to the government. It is anticipated to construct two complexes. One complex will consist of shelters constructed of typical steel shelters and the second complex will consist of carbon composite shelters. It is not anticipated to award both shelters to the same contractor. This will be issued as a 100% small business set aside, competitive buy. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to peri odically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or propos al nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same.
