- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-18. Provide 1-1/4" Wire Rope with 6 foot eyes in one end; right hand lay (RL); Wire to be 1-1/4" bright 6x19x250 feet; 42 EA. The provisions at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial Items, 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items, 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items (including 52.222-3, 52.222-19, 52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52.222-36, 52.225-15 and 52.232-33) apply. FAR 52.225-1 Buy American Act ? Supplies is applicable to this acquisition, which provides a preference for domestic end products. The Contractor shall deliver only domestic end products except to the extent that it specified delivery of foreign end products with its quote in accordance with FAR 52.225-2 ?Buy American Act Certificate? and indicated the country of origin. The government shall make award to the quote representing the best value, consistent with the Buy American Act. Include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items, with the quote unless the offeror has completed the annual representations and certifications electronically via the ORCA website at http://orca.bpn.gov and there are no changes. Quotes are due no later than August 23, 2007, 2:00 p.m. local time and may be submitted electronically to Susan Barba at susan.barba@dot.gov or telefax 757-441-6080. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE's), the DOT short-term lending program (STLP) offers working capital financing and the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
