- The USDA, ARS, Mid South Area, intends to procure a Veterinary Ultrasound equal to a Classic Medical, Travet Tera3000 Veterinary Ultrasound. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items perepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additonal information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number 2007-4431-021 is being issued as an Invitation for Bid. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clause are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Regulation 97-12. Offerors are to provide a bid for the following: SPECIFICATIONS: A three-dimential ultrasonography science applications is required to allow the research program to study effects of ergot alkaloids and plain of nutrition on muscle and gastrointestinal masses through the capability to measure volume. A combined feature of Doppler ultrsaonography will further allow the evaluation of the blood rate to specific organs and/or tissues. *Laptop computer system six pin with Firewire TM connection/media bay port, built-in CDR/RW drive, Wide HDI style monitor, Terason communication and control software, probe connector, battery and power supply. *High Resolution B-mode (2D) imaging with variable focusing *Variable speed M-mode cardiac *Dynamic Video clip storage and Playback *Windows TM XP Pro Operating Software *DIgital storage file format to include ULT, AVI, DICOM, TIF, JPG and BMP *Supports linear, convex and phased array probe technologies **128 channel bandwidth probes *Terason Probn 5-10MHz 4cm linear aray "T" 10L5 probe head (Small parts/small animal imaging with linear and trapezoidal scanning capability) *Terason Probe 2-4MHz 4V2 phased array sector probe +33cm display (Cardiac and external abdominal imaging in mid to large animal patients) *Network connectable *One (1) year manufacturer's warranty on probe(s) and software *One year manufacturer's computer warranty *System above with Color flow and Spectral Doppler *TeraStand Adjustable system stand *Height adjustable in office cart *3D Ultrasound computer software module. Equipment Line Items: ITEM NO. 1 SUPPLIES/SERVICES: Veterinary Ultrasound QTY: 1 each UNIT PRICE: $ ___________ TOTAL AMOUNT: $ ___________ All systems and compnts shal be provided with one (1) year warranty from the time of owner's acceptance. The warranty shall cover all parts, labor, and materials. Delivery of the unit must be made with in 45 days of award of contract. ALL RESPONSIBLE SOURCES MAY SUBMIT A BID FOR CONSIDERATION. Bid prices shall includ all necessary labor, parts, materials and transportation necessary to deliver FOB Destination a Veterinary Ultrasound to the USDA, ARS, MSA, FAPRU, N-220 Ag. Science Building N, University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY 40546. This contract incorporates one or more clauses by reference, with the same force and effect as if they were given in full text.
