Generator Maintenance Document Type: Sources Sought Notice Solicitation Number: Posted Date: August 16, 2007 Response Date: August 31, 2007 NAICS Code: 811219 Classification Code: Contracting Office Address: General Services Administration (GSA), Federal Acquisition Service (FAS), Center for Services Acquisition (QSAB), Arlington, VA 20406 Contract Type: None Description GSA is seeking information regarding the maintenance of generators-gas, diesel, turbine and to a lesser degree electric for use in responding to natural and manmade disasters nationwide. This Request for Information (RFI) will enable GSA to assess the interest, experience, capability, and general standards of the generator maintenance industry. The following list is not inclusive: Please submit responses via email to Emergencycontracting@gsa,gov by 3:00 PM EDT, August 31, 2007. Please include RFI for Generator Maintenance in the SUBJECT LINE. 1. What types of field generator maintenance plans and service does your company provide ( sizes (KW), brand name, gas/diesel/electric?etc)? 2. In what time increments can this service be acquired (e.g. daily, weekly, monthly, etc.)? 3. What is included in the maintenance rate? (e.g. overhead, labor, profit, maintenance, service plans, parts, etc.) 4. What types of spare parts does your company stock? 5. When and how can orders be placed? Would 24/7 services be available if needed? Do you have a Government Customer Service Center which operates 24 hours and has a toll free number? 6. Can your company deliver service nationwide? If not, what areas do you service? If you have the ability to deliver on a nationwide basis, what percent of the work would be accomplished via subcontractors? 7. What is your standard service delivery time? Could your company respond to emergencies in the field, deliver service within 24 hours if needed, 48 hours, or 72 hours? If your company can not meet the time specified, what is your commercial practice in regard to response time? Has your company participated in any national emergencies within the past 5 years (explain)? 8. What type of services tracking capability do you offer your customers, (i.e. next scheduled maintenance, major overhaul or oil change, etc)? 9. How are your levels of services categories, (example, Operator Maintenance, General Maintenance, and Depot Maintenance) of service? Additionally, any questions you submit must be written in a way that enables clear understanding of your company?s issues or concerns. Written answers will be posted two (2) business days after the response date for this RFI closes, giving due regard to the proper protection of proprietary information. Any exchanges of information must be consistent with procurement integrity requirements (see FAR 3.104). No offers or quotes will be accepted.
