Description

The Improvement of the railroad crossing at the Jackass Bend Unit shall consist of the following: Contact local authorities and utility companies to determine exact location of utilities before beginning any excavation. Remove or break up existing asphalt under all new fill. Remove all trees, brush, roots, windfalls and other vegetative material within the construction limits. Strip and stockpile topsoil for re-use. Remove existing gate and signage as required. Re-install upon completion of earthwork. Placement of common borrow and placement of gravel or crushed stone surfacing material. Re-spread topsoil and seed disturbed areas. ESTIMATED MAGNITUDE: The magnitude of this requirement in terms of physical characteristics and estimated price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. This procurement is issued unrestricted under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, Public Law 100-656, and is NOT set-aside exclusively for small business concerns. For information purposes, the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 237990 Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction with a Small Business size standard of $31 Million dollars. The Solicitation Package will be available via electronic commerce at http://ideasec.nbc.gov and http://www.fedbizopps.gov on or about August 31, 2007 with a Bid Opening occurring on or about September 18, 2007. A Hard Copy of the Solicitation Package will include the following: An itemized Bid Schedule, Scope of Work, Drawings, and Prevailing Wage Determination.
