Description

The US Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District, intends to award an 8(a) Set-aside construction contract for installation of a Shallow Draft Behavioral Guidance System (BGS) in the forebay of the Bonneville Second Powerhouse. This requirement is f or the fabrication and installation of a commercially available fish/debris boom, as well as an anchor system design and construction, and installation and testing of the boom. The boom will include a 10 draft framework covered with rubber conveyor belt m aterial. It is anticipated that this work will require a barge crane, with GPS to accurately set the clump weight anchors to ensure the boom is positioned as specified in the Plans and Specifications. The purchase of the BGS will occur in the FY 07 by the primary contractor, and the construction period of performance will extend from December 1, 2007 to March 01, 2008. This procurement is a Total 8(a) Set-aside to Randolph Construction Services, Inc. The NAICS Code is 237990 and the Small Business Size Standard is $31,000,000.
