- Description
- This is a solicitation notice for a proposed sealed bid construction contract for the construction of approximately 6,000 square foot two story addition and 7,000 square feet of remodeled spaces to building 85 at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Boise Idaho. The primary functions of this project are to provide new and remodeled laboratory space on the second floor and an outpatient clinic to the first floor of building 85. A new ambulance entrance and canopy shall be provided on the first floor. Work will included, but is not limited to, the following: civil, structural, roofing, exterior surfaces, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, landscaping, and various interior finishes. The VA is seeking a general contractor to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment and supervision for the purposed contract. There will be a pre-bid site inspection of locations on or about June 11, 2007, at 9:00 a.m., 500 West Fort Street, Boise Idaho. The construction cost range is between $3,000,000 to $5,000,000. The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center anticipates a firm fixed price contract. The procurement is set aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned small business's that are registered in Vet Biz Ops. The NAICS for the procurement is 236220. The small business size standard is $28.5 million. The Government will not pay nor reimburse any costs associated with responding to the solicitation. The Government will not be obligated to issue a contract for the aforementioned work, and is providing this as information only. As authorized in FAR 5.103(a), (7), solicitation dissemination is limited to electronic medium; the VA will provide no hard copies. The solicitation, consisting of various bid documents, specifications, forms and drawings will be available for download at no charge through http://fedbizopps.gov/ on or about May 29, 2007. All prospective bidders are advised that they are responsible for obtaining all bid documents and any amendments, and should re-visit the website periodically to look for any updates. Further details and all dates and events are available in the solicitation. All questions are required to be in writing to the Contracting Officer; no telephone inquiries can be accepted. Bid opening will be on June 29, 2007 at 3:00 p.m., 500 West Fort Street, Boise Idaho. Award is subject to availability of funding.
