Description
Notice of Contract Action. The United States Air Force (USAF), 79th Medical Wing (79th MDW), Air Force District of Washington (AFDW), Contracting Division (AFDW/A7KM), intends to award a sole source Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract to Samueli Institute to provide an Auricular Stimulation Procedure (ASP) Training and Evaluation Program to be utilized by the 79th Medical Wing, Malcolm Grow Medical Center. Services shall be in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws/guidance, and follow the procedures outlined in the generally accepted industrial practices and procedures by agencies such as the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). The contractor will provide the following: (1) Complete documentation to assist in obtaining approval from the International Revue Board (IRB); (2) Develop and produce an Auricular Stimulation Procedure (ASP) Training Manuel; (3) Organize and coordinate a pilot test in order to confirm the training manual?s effectiveness; (4) Observe and document training interactions between the instructors and provider trainees to ensure uniformity and consistency of instruction; (5) Monitor recruitment of trainees and track trainee progress; (6) Develop and coordinate a credentialing process consisting of monitoring and confirming receipts of credentialing; (7) Monitor post-training clinical use of ASP; (8) Develop and write a pilot observational study protocol, assist with IRB approval process, and produce and collate regulatory documentation of the observational study; (9) Coordinate and manage the observational study at various local medical sites, including preparation to set up study teams and sites prior to commencement, data collection and monitoring; and (10) Complete data analysis, manuscript preparation, submission, and revisions for publications of the observational study. This announcement is not a request for competitive quotations.
