Description

The U.S. Geological Survey, BRD, National Wildlife Health Center, Madison, WI is a participant in an Interagency Avian Influenza Survellance Program. As a participant, the USGS intends to make award on a sole source basis to Applied Biosystems, Foster City, CA to purchase Viral RNA Isolation Kits. These test kits are unique in nature and have previously been tested and approved for use to enable research on mitigating the potential adverse impact of Avian Influenza. There is no written solicitation for this requirement. This award will be made on or about August 20, 2007 in accordance with FAR 13.5. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 541710. THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. No additional synopsis will be published.
