Description

The Robertson Blood Center, Fort Hood, Texas, has a requirement for Abbott PRISM HBCore Assay Kits, HBsAg Assay Kits, and HCV Assay Kits, including associated disposables and consumables for use on government-owned Abbott PRISM Analyzers. The Govern ment intends to procure these items on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The Government intends to nego tiate a firm fixed price contract with Abbott Laboratories, 100 Abbott Park Road, Abbott Park, Illinois 60064-6095. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no solicitation will be posted; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requiremen t may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 7 days from the date of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement listed. A determination by the G overnment not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement .
