- THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT FOR THE KENNEDY SPACE CENTER INTERN PROGRAM. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to answer the following questions: Question 1. Is there an incumbent on this contract? Answer 1. No. Question 2. Will the successful bidder have to furnish facilities to support 100 students or more? Answer 2. No. Students will be working at facilities on the Kennedy Space Center (KSC). Question 3. Will any of the students be located at KSC or other locations? Answer 3. KSC only. Question 4. Will the successful bidder have to be located within a range from KSC? Answer 4. No. Question 5. Provide Administrative Support and Financial (Payroll) Functions. What does this mean? Answer 5. As required by the Statement of Work, the contractor is to provide all administrative support to market academic institutions in search of potential intern candidates. The financial (payroll) function includes the formal hiring process and payment of stipends to the interns when selected. Question 6. Will KSC provide software? Answer 6. No. Question 7. What are the software requirements? Answer 7. None. Question 8. Please explain the matching funds concept. Answer 8. Matching funds are not required. However, if a contractor determines that it is in their best interests to share the burden of cost for this program, they are welcome to do so. The due date for receipt of offers is not extended. Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on Aug 8, 2007. Documents related to this procurement are available over the Internet. These documents reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
