- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This Solicitation No. FA8601-07-T-0063 is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-18. Quotes are being solicited on a brand name or equal basis only Non-manufacturing rule does not apply. All quotes are due by NLT 1500hrs EST on 17 August 2007 This requirement is for ONE (1) PROTO TRAK ? K3SX KNEE MILING MACHINE WITH PTSMX CNC. SIC Code 3541, NAICS Code 333512, Size Standard 500 Employees. The salient features are as follows: I. (1Each) Proto TRAK ?K3SX Knee Milling Machine with PTSMX CNC. To include the following additional options. #ADV FEATURES (Advanced Features, SMX), #CONV-DXF (DFX File Converter), #CONV-DXF ADD (DXF File Converter Additional seat), #AUTO LUBE (Automatic Lubrication), #EHW-KSX (TRAKing/Electronic Hand Wheels), #LAMP-KSX (Work Lamp), #NETWORK/MEM (Networking & Memory Option), #PDB-R8 (Power Draw Bar K3SX R8), # P-TRAK RSG9 (Remote Stop/Go Switch). Shipping, Rigging & Hauling. Provide set up/installation and training by local distributor. II. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Two Axis CNC Knee Milling Machine with SMX controller, Table size 5?? X 10? with (3) 5/8? T Slots & able to support 850 lbs, Minimum travels - X 32?, Y 16? Z quill 5?, Knee 16 ?, Ram 1?, Quill diameter 3.?, Quill chrome hardened & ground with precision #7207CP4 spindle bearings with R8 spindle taper. Variable speed spindle/head 60 - 4200 RPM, Spindle motor 3 HP, 440 Volts 3 Phase, 4.25 AMPS , Head tilt 45 degrees forward & backwards & 90 degrees right & left. Rapid feed rate up to 100 IPM, Meehanite castings, Way surface type ? Dovetail X & Z, square Y , Side ways to be Turcite coated, wide ways to be hardened & ground. CNC controller to be compatible/interchangeable with existing ProtoTRAK SMX CNC controllers (operations, controller language, hardware & software), to include Advanced Features, Auto Geometry Engine, Spreadsheet Editing, Networking/Memory, TRAKing Electronic Hand Wheels & DXF File Converter with One Extra Seat. A Firm Fixed Price Contract is anticipated. Quoted prices must be delivered FOB Destination. FOB point is Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, 45433.
