- VISN is seeking quotes for a temperature monitoring system for its 400 pharmacy refrigerators located in facilities throughout the metropolitan New York/New Jersey area. The system must meet the following requirements: The system must be wireless and must be capable of monitoring temperatures in pharmacy refrigerators twenty four hours a day, seven days per week. It must have a mechanism of alerting designated parties when the temperature in any refrigerator falls outside a predetermined range. VISN 3 clinicians must have the ability to set the temperature range for each refrigerator individually. VISN 3 clinicians must have the ability to choose the mechanism of alert when temperature falls out of range for each individual refrigerator. The methods of alert can be local bells and whistles, telephone cascade, alarm in a specific area of the site (i.e. Engineering, Pharmacy, etc.), etc.
