- Description
- The Naval Inventory Control Point will issue a solicitation for procurement request N00383-07-Y-4901 for a performance based logistics (PBL) support contract for the MH-60R/S Helicopter Multi Spectral Targeting System (MTS). POC is Charlotte Cerkvenik, code 0221.07, 215-697-2121, fax 215-697-0491. The contract will be a ten year contract with a 5 year base period, one 3 year option period and one 2 year option period. Under the PBL contract, the awardee provisions, stocks, repairs, warehouses, and ships serviceable ready for issue equipment to the end user within specified timeframes. The awardee will take responsibilities previously performed by the Government, including but not limited to: 1) engineering and logistics support, 2) configuration management, 3) material management including furnishing piece parts needed to complete repairs, 4) management of asset repair, and 5) integrated logistics support. The contract will require systems reliability improvemen ts through effective configuration and obsolescence management, and innovative product and support improvements. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued on a sole source basis to Raytheon Company, the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). The MTS FLIR system consists of the Turret (TU), p/n: 4981950-2, the Electronic Unit (EU), p/n: 4974204-1, and the Hand Control Unit (HCU), p/n: 3154213-1. NAVICP does not have any technical documentation or drawings. See note 22.
