- Description
- N00164-07-R-6796 ? RUGGEDIZED PERSONAL COMPUTER/DISPLAY UNIT - FSG 70 - NAICS 334111 Anticipated Issue Date 31 JUL 2007 - Anticipated Closing Date 14 AUG 2007 - 2:00 PM CST This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov/ , the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil, and the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition website located at http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/synopcom.htm. FBO is the primary point of entry to be used when access to synopses and solicitations from the World Wide Web is required. However, the NECO webpage as well as the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition webpage serve as alternatives if the FBO website is unavailable. Amendment 0001: Correction: This synopsis, which originally appeared in the FedBizOpps on 13 July 2007 for Ruggedized Personal Computer/Display Unit, is hereby modified to read as follows: 1. Change from: anticipated issue date 31 JUL 2007 ? anticipated closing date 14 AUG 2007 ? 2:00 PM CST. Change to: anticipated issue date 7 AUG 2007 ? anticipated closing date 21 AUG 2007 ? 2:00 PM CST. 2. Change from: The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, Advaned Processing Labs (AP Labs), 10864 Thornmint Road, San Diego, California, 92127, under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The basis for restricting competition is that AP Labs, being the Original Equipment Manufacturer, is the only know source fo reach of the items that can satisfy the Government?s requirements, and it is likely that award to any other source would result in substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition. Change to: The Government intends to solicit on a full and open competition basis. 3. Change from: Interested parties may respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Change to: Interested parties may respond to the requirement or submit proposals. 4. Numbered Note 22 is hereby deleted.
