Description

The US Geological Survey intends to award a Purchase Order to perfom shipyard maintenance on the Rersearch Vessel Karluk, a 42 foot single screw fiberglass boat, to include replacing standard packing gland with PYI/PSS, remove/replace and computer balance the propeller, repair/rebuild engine driven bilge pump, prepare and paint bottom with anti-fouling paint, replace zincs as required, inspect all sections of the hull and service or repair as necessary, replace government supplied fathometer transduced, paint and reapply above water hull paint and lettering, and inspect recaulk and seal all exterior windows as necessary, replacing cracked or broken windows as necessary. Interested patties must have at least 25 Ton lifting capability. This notice of intent is a request for competitive proposals and interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement to the Contracting Specialist by emai (sevans@usgs.gov) no later than the response date shown on the announcement.
