Description: The work of this contract consists of the restoration of two ornamental sheet metal cornices at the eaves and porch, based on historic designs that are illustrated on the drawings and available for inspection at the site. ITEM NO. 1 Demolition of the entire existing wood Eave Cornice, Eave gutters and downspouts, selective removal of the Eave armature, and other materials removed as part of the Eave work. Selective repairs of roof perimeter abutting restored Eaves. ITEM NO. 2 Restoration of Eave Armature, Eave Yankee Gutter, Eave Downspouts and Splashblocks, fabricated, installed, sealed. ITEM NO. 3 Restoration of Eave Cornice, fabricated, installed, painted and sealed. ITEM NO. 4 Option #1: Restoration of Eave Cornice: Substitution of fiberglass material for galvanized sheet metal material, fabricated, installed and sealed. ITEM NO. 5 Demolition of the entire existing wood Porch Cornice, Porch gutters and downspouts, selective removal of the Porch armature, and other materials removed as part of the Eave work. Selective repairs of roof perimeter abutting restored Porch. ITEM NO. 6 Restoration of Porch Armature, Porch Yankee Gutter, Porch Downspouts and Splashblocks, fabricated, installed, sealed. ITEM NO. 7. Restoration of Porch Cornice, fabricated, installed, painted and sealed. ITEM NO. 8 Option #2: Restoration of Porch Cornice: Substitution of fiberglass material for galvanized sheet metal material, fabricated, installed and sealed. LOCATION: The work will occur at the Sandy Hook Unit of Gateway National Recreation Area in New Jersey, Building 1. The NAICS code for this project is 238160 and the small business size standard is $13.0 million. Contract duration is 180 days following notice to proceed. In accordance with FAR Subpart 36.204, the price range for this contract is between $25,000 and $100.000. This procurement is a Request for Proposal (RFQ) and is subject to the provisions of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Parts 13 and 15. The National Park Service encourages the participation of disadvantaged and women-owned business enterprises. A site visit will be scheduled for all interested parties with the time and date to be announced in the solicitation, Section L, clause 52.236-27 Alt 1, Site Visit (Construction).
