- MODIFICATION TO PREVIOUS SYNOPSIS (See previous modifications and uploads related to this RFP dated 1 Feb 07, 19 Jun 07, and 22 Jun 07) This notice is issued to clarify previous synopses before issuance of the final RFP. The final RFP will be posted to FedBizOpps. Estimated release date is 3 Aug 07. Technically Acceptable ? Risk, Performance Price Tradeoff procedures will be used to determine successful offerors for the multiple award contracts. Required response time is 30 days from issuance of the RFP unless it is amended to extend the due date. Duration of the contract is 10 years if all optional ordering periods are exercised. The basic ordering period is 3 years, with two additional 3 year optional ordering periods and a one year optional ordering period. All items included in the previous synopses do not have forecasted requirements. The items that have a forecast are shown in the spreadsheets uploaded to FedBizOpps with applicable quantities for each forecast year. For clarification purposes, please refer to these spreadsheets for forecasted quantities. These quantities may change as a result of changes in the forecast. Anticipated award date is Dec 08. The Aircraft Structures Commodity Council at Robins AFB, GA is pleased to announce a strategic enterprise-wide long term strategy for Bonded Aircraft Structures in Federal Stock Class (FSC) 1560. Our intent is to consolidate individual competitive tactical buys into multiple award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) firm fixed price contracts for a 10 year period. IF YOU HAVE PREVIOUSLY FURNISHED A BONDED PART IN THE 1560 FSC TO THE GOVERNMENT, YOU WILL NEED TO READ THIS NOTICE CAREFULLY TO DETERMINE IF YOUR ITEMS ARE INCLUDED. This strategy is divided into items for a small business set aside and items for a full and open competition. THIS NOTICE IS FOR THE FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION RFP. Items applicable to this action are listed on the attachment. The government reserves the right to add items to this list at a later date, however, those items will be published as an addendum to this synopsis in FedBizOpps. The estimated value of this contract action is $40 million with a three year basic ordering period with 2 three-year options and 1 one-year option. FAR 15 procedures apply. The purpose of this strategy is to include all bonded structures stock numbers so that administrative lead time may be minimized. All stock numbers that apply to this strategy are listed on the attachment. Delivery will be established for each line item on applicable delivery orders when competition is conducted. A draft RFP will be issued prior to the final RFP and a pre-proposal conference will be held after the draft RFP is issued.
